Meet the Owners
Say hello to Dylan Brumwell, one of the three co-owner team here at Sophie’s Kitchen. Dylan was born and raised right here in Billings, Montana. After living out of state for several years and traveling up and down the west coast, Dylan moved back to Billings to open Sophie’s Kitchen in November of 2019. Since the opening of Sophie’s Kitchen, Dylan has enjoyed working with friends that have turned into family, connecting with his loyal customers, and sharing their up-scaled, classic, in-house recipes with all who visit.
Our next owner highlight is Stacey Hettinger. Stacey was also born and raised here in Billings, Montana. Stacey left Montana after the 8th grade and later opened Sophie’s sister store, Geraldine’s in Seattle, Washington in 2005. After some time away, she knew she wanted to come back to Big Sky country. So alongside her nephew Dylan, Sophie’s Kitchen was born. Stacey enjoys working with the amazing staff members and takes pride in the made from scratch, home style menu they have created.
Last, but certainly not least, is co-owner Ramiro Gallegos. This father of three is a Mexican immigrant whose been blessing the people of Seattle, Washington and Billings, Montana with his culinary skills for decades. Beside his beautiful wife Ericka and the rest of the amazing kitchen staff at Sophie’s Kitchen, Ramiro has been a key ingredient in getting Sophie’s Kitchen to where it is today.
The family roots run deep at Sophie’s Kitchen, as it is named after Stacey’s grandma, Sophie. “Grammy” Sophie was known for serving up delicious, made from scratch meals in her kitchen, where all were welcome. Grammy always opened her home with love, generosity, good food, and big hugs. It is the goal of Sophie’s Kitchen to create the same atmosphere that Grammy Sophie did for all to experience.
